Cameron Daniel Gage

Teacher & Founder

G'day! I'm Cameron, a native Australian English speaker currently based in Mexico, where I'm learning español through immersion in everyday life.

In many ways, I'm experiencing a journey similar to that of my students. I'm using a new language in daily situations, navigating those moments when the words don't quite come to me, and gradually building confidence communicating in a different culture. Experiencing this firsthand has given me an even greater appreciation for the challenges and rewards of learning a language, and the importance of creating a supportive environment where mistakes are simply part of the process.

A background in people, training and education

I bring over 15 years of professional experience across a diverse range of industries, including retail, beauty, contact centres, department stores, dispute resolution, finance and supermarkets. Throughout my career, I've worked in leadership, staff training, customer service and problem-solving, helping people develop their skills, navigate challenges and achieve their goals.

My background in professional training has strongly influenced my approach to teaching. I believe people learn best when lessons are practical, engaging and tailored to their individual needs, with clear goals and opportunities to apply new skills in real-life situations.

I'm a Level 5 TEFL Diploma-qualified teacher, with additional professional training in Teaching Business English, Teaching English Online and One-to-One, and Teaching English to Young Learners.

My teaching experience in Mexico includes working with children in both primary school and kindergarten settings. I currently also teach private students across a wide range of ages and English proficiency levels, from children taking their first steps in English to adults looking to strengthen their communication skills and become more confident speakers.

English for real life

My classes focus on real-world communication, conversational fluency, pronunciation and essential grammar. I adapt lessons to each student's level, interests and goals, whether they're building their foundations, developing greater fluency, improving their English for study or strengthening their professional communication skills.

As someone who is learning another language through immersion, I understand that progress isn't about being perfect. It's about building confidence, embracing the process and learning to communicate one step at a time.

My goal is to make learning English practical, encouraging and relevant to your life, so you can take what you learn in class and use it with confidence in the real world.
