Build your rhythm.
Build your confidence.
Practical, one-to-one English classes built around your goals. Work on everyday conversation, pronunciation and core grammar with Teacher Cameron, a TEFL qualified native Australian English teacher.
Learn with purpose.
Practise with confidence.
I believe learning English should be about more than memorising grammar rules or completing worksheets. It’s about developing the confidence to communicate, express yourself and use English in real-life situations. My approach combines practical communication, personalised learning and constructive feedback to help you make meaningful progress. Every student is different, so we adapt our lessons to your needs, interests, level and goals.
Real-world communication comes first
Learn English you can actually use.
We focus on practical English for everyday conversations, work, study and social situations. You’ll have opportunities to express your ideas, build vocabulary and develop more natural communication skills, rather than simply learning language in isolation.
Lessons tailored to you
Your goals shape your learning.
Whether you’re a child just starting to learn English or an adult looking to improve your fluency, your lessons are adapted to your current level and individual needs. We can work on grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, conversation or a combination of skills, depending on what will help you most.
Feedback that helps you grow
Mistakes are part of learning.
Making mistakes is a natural part of developing a language. During our lessons, we’ll work on common errors, pronunciation and sentence structure. The aim is to give you practical feedback you can understand and apply, helping you become a more confident and independent English speaker.
Confidence through practice
The more you use English, the more comfortable it becomes.
Developing a language takes time and consistency. Our lessons give you a supportive space to practise, ask questions and try new ways of expressing yourself. With regular practice and guidance, you’ll gradually build the confidence to communicate beyond the classroom.
Learning that continues between lessons
Small steps create lasting progress.
Where appropriate, we’ll provide personalised exercises to reinforce what we’ve covered in class. These activities help you revisit important concepts, work on areas that need attention and keep building your skills between sessions.
Personal lessons vs. group classes
Your learning pace. Your questions. Your understanding.
Ever been in a class where everyone moves on, but you’re still trying to understand the last concept?
Maybe the teacher explained something once, perhaps twice, but it still hasn’t quite clicked. The class needs to keep moving, so the lesson continues, and you’re left trying to figure it out on your own.
That’s where our approach to private lessons is different.
We take the time to make it click.
In our one-to-one classes, there’s no pressure to keep up with a group or move on before you’re ready. If a concept doesn’t make sense straight away, that’s completely fine. We’ll take a step back, look at it from a different angle, try another example, or connect it to something you already understand.
Sometimes, understanding a concept means explaining it differently. Sometimes, it means asking more questions, practising together or looking at why something works the way it does, rather than simply memorising a rule.
We want you to understand not only what to say, but why you’re saying it and how to apply it in real conversations.
Everyone learns differently. And that’s okay.
Some concepts will click almost immediately. Others might take a little more time, practice and explanation. Neither means you’re a better or worse learner.
The important thing is to recognise what you understand, identify what still needs work and find an approach that helps you move forward. That’s the advantage of personalised learning: we can adapt the lesson to you, rather than expecting you to adapt to the lesson.
Group classes can be a great way to practise with others, share ideas and learn collaboratively. Private lessons simply give us more freedom to focus on your individual questions, work at your pace and explore a concept until you’re comfortable putting it into practice.
You don’t have to pretend you’ve understood. You don’t have to be afraid to ask again. And you don’t have to get everything right the first time.
We’re here to learn, and we’ll work through it together.
Real understanding. Practical progress. Learning at your pace.
A closer look at pronunciation
Understand the sounds. Speak with confidence.
Pronunciation isn't about losing your accent. It's about understanding how English sounds work so you can speak more clearly and naturally.
One focus in our lessons is the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA): a system of symbols that represents speech sounds across languages. It gives us a practical way to see and compare sounds, instead of relying only on English spelling, which doesn't always tell you how a word is pronounced.
We can look at the root cause of sounds that make even familiar words tricky, such as:
girl beach bear sheet
We'll break down what your mouth and tongue are doing, compare sounds that are easy to mix up, and explore how small differences change the word. We'll also make challenging word endings, such as -ed and -ing, easier to understand and use in everyday speech.
Rather than just asking you to repeat a word, we'll work through why it sounds that way and how to produce it. We can practise at your pace and return to a sound in different contexts until it starts to feel natural.
You don't need to change your accent to be understood. The goal is clearer, more confident speech that still sounds like you. I believe accents are beautiful and are part of what makes us truly unique in this multicultural world. Your accent is an important part of your identity, and you shouldn't have to change it to communicate effectively with the world.
